He was predeceased by: his parents, Angeline Jones Shalata and Joseph Shalata; his wife Lucy Lambert Shalata; his siblings, Joseph (Janet), Thomas (Phyllis), Annette Koutnick (Jim) and Joyce Thomas (Paul); and his brother-in-law Dana Field.
He is survived by: his sister Judy Field of Jamestown, NY; his children, Terri Greenley (Charles) and Bill Shalata (Pamela); his grandchildren, Scott Greenley (Matt Decker), Andrea Banos (Kevin), Heather Hubbell (Pastor Ben) and Mikki Belanger (John); and his great grandchildren, Chase, Makenna, Ashlynn, Joshia Hubbell (Bijou), Caleb, Joshua, Cadance and Eadlyn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Noxen Bible Baptist Church (3604 State Route 29S, Noxen, PA 18636). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Noxen Bible Baptist Church (3622 PA-29, Noxen, PA 18636). A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park (4115 Memorial Hwy, Dallas, PA 18612).
