He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Montgomery Sr. and Phyllis Elizabeth Swartz Montgomery. He is survived by: his children, John Mongomery III (Penny) of Lake Kasoag, NY, Dawn Richards of Dalton and Tamara Pierre of East Benton; his grandchildren, J. D. Pierre (Jessica), Chris Pierre (Kelly), John W. Montgomery IV, Neil Montgomery (Sarah), Daniel W. Richards, Nancy and Nicole Levensailor; and his siblings, Paul Montgomery (Anne), Robert Montgomery (Cathy) and Lynda Holyk (Raymond). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home (418 S State St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home (418 S State St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the Fairview Memorial Park (111 State Rte 435, Elmhurst Township, PA 18444).
