It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Barnhart of Danville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Gass and Olive Madden Gass; her husband Howard F. Barnhart, Jr.; her son Roy Barnhart; her grandchildren, Roy Barnhart, Jr. and Gina Barnhart; her sisters, Lois Gass and Carol Bell; and her son-in-law Robert Fest.

She is survived by : her children, Howard F. Barnhart, III (Sue) of Sunbury, PA, Letitia "Tish" Fest of Bloomsburg, PA, Susan Hess (William) of Danville, PA and Gloria Olson of Mifflinburg, PA.; her grandchildren, Valerie, April, Robert, Rebecca, Judy, Mark, Wade, Shawna and Bradley; and her great grandchildren, Rachel, Gwen, Jacob, Emily, Madison, Kelsey, Logan, Alexia, Chryslynn, Raegan, Camryn, Alayna, Lazlo and Poema.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Church of Christ or the Danville/Riverside Food Bank; both at 512 Bloom Street Danville PA 17821.

“I really have fond memories of Joyce. She, my Mom( Mary Lou Barsh) & myself volunteered at the Danville-Riverside food bank and would deliver the food to the homebound residents. Then we would all go out for a bite to eat. Much fun! She was a wonderful & caring woman and I will never forget her. Kathryn Barsh Sutton”
