As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joan may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Shockley (Lutz) and Raymond P. Shockley; her husband Edwin J. "Butch" Stephens (Butch); and her brother Scott Shockley. She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Schlett (Stephens); and her siblings, Janet Shockley, Kathy Chapin, Sue Fry, Jill Robson and Lee Shockley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and, nephews.
