It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlean Shomper of Dauphin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carlean Shomper to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Gissel and Violet Gissel (Wolfgang); her husband Arthur H. "Jack" Shomper; her daughter Judith Stone; her grandson Carl Korbich; and her siblings, Eleanor Brittingham, Jane Stone, Virginia O'Connor and Carl Gissel.
She is survived by: her children, John "Randy" Stone (Eileen) of Harrisburg, Violet Korbich (Harold) of Paxinos, Cindy Burkholder (Mark) of Dillsburg and Lynn Gordon of Dauphin; her grandsons, Randy, Michael Stone, Mark Burkholder, Michael Korbich, Matthew and Josh Gordon; her brother David Gissel of Milford, CT; and her stepson David Shomper. She is also survived by six great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home (2100 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
