With sadness, we share the passing of Bernice Alwine of Davidsville, Pennsylvania. Bernice, born on July 11, 1933, passed away on October 17, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ammon Yoder and Elda Yoder (Kaufman); her husband Lowell T. Alwine; and her siblings, Noah, Paul, Marlin Yoder, Dorothy Shetler, Twila Thomas and Erma Kauffman.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald R. (Jeanette (Replogle)) and Louise K. (Gary Hillegass); her grandchildren, Jennifer (Daniel Miller), Matthew Alwine (Melanie), Alycia (Timothy Blough) and Jodi (Timothy Mock); her siblings, Emma Mae Alwine and Merle Yoder (Janet); and her sister-in-law Doris Yoder. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Thomas Mennonite Church (112 Swank Rd, Hollsopple, PA 15935).
