He is survived by: his wife Sara "Sally" Burton (Baylor); his children, Phyllis Ann Burton of Greensburg and Robert Phillip Burton of Pittsburgh; his daughter-in-law Jody Guy; and his granddaughter Anna Guy-Burton Reiels.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home (152 Abbe Pl, Delmont, PA 15626). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home Chapel (152 Abbe Pl, Delmont, PA 15626).
