He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester G. Sutherland and Lillian L. Sutherland (Sexton). He is survived by : his wife Mary S. Sutherland; his children, Patricia Nogle, James Sutherland, Jr. and Nichole Turowski; and his sisters, Shirley Caldwell, Dorcas Corbin and Wilma Payne.
