She was predeceased by: her parents, John Scarborough and Marian Scarborough; and her husband Richard H. Britton. She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Clark, Andrea Britton and Jennifer Fredricks (Tim); and her grandchildren, Brittany Spurlock (Lee), Richard Clark, Samantha Clark, Thomas Hooper (Andrea), John Hooper, Lauren Fredricks, Nicole Fredricks and Ethan Fredricks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in JoAnn's memory to Delta Old Line Museum or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
