He was predeceased by : his parents, H. Lyle and Mary E. Hess (Thompson); and his brothers, Gerald L. Hess (Marion) of Denver, CO and Martin R. "Bill" Hess (Charlotte) of Delta, PA.. He is survived by : his sons, Lowell R. Hess (Barbara) and Gregory L. Hess (Martha Jo Horton); his grandchildren, Matthew L. Hess (Elizabeth), Alecia Morris (Brett), Heather Liester (Daniel), Lyla Overmiller (Simon) and Rachel Hess (Joshua Resh); and his great grandchildren, McKenna Morris, Devan Frantz, Chase Morris, Augusten Hess, Taryn Liester, Olyn Overmiller and Leona Overmiller.
