He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hertzog and Minerva Hertzog (Kreider); and his siblings, Ernest and Edith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Althouse); his children, Kevin (Susan) and Tanya (William); his grandchildren, Trevin, Abigail (Elijah), Liliana and Felicia; and his great grandchild Waylon Earl.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home (533 Walnut St, Denver, PA 17517). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions in Earl's memory may be made to Denver Fire Company, 425 Locust St., Denver, PA 17517.
