In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dewald and Clara Dewald (Schappell); his wife Peggy L. Dewald; and his daughter Judy Burkholder. He is survived by: his children, Jamie (Bruce Carpenter) of Reamstown, Joyce (Stan Care) of Shillington and Jill (Scott Alleman) of Lititz; and his son-in-law Terry Burkholder. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
