He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Tate Sr. and Harriet Hardin Tate. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Simmons Tate; his children, Keith Simmons of Latrobe and Kimberly Simmons of Derry; his siblings, Nancy Tate of Greensburg, Samuel Farrier (Tina) of Murrysville and Fred Tate Jr. (Michelle) of Uniontown; and his grandchildren, Kyla and Sawyer Simmons.
