It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Dean Anderson of Derry, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter K. Anderson and Lucy Agnes Moore Anderson; his brothers, Carl, Ken, Larry and Robert "Rebo"; and his wife Thelma "Hummy" Stouffer Anderson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Frances Johnson, Marjorie Keys, Evelyn Gray and Nancy Henderson; his children, Gary, Kathy Jellison (late Jack), Linda Gennaro (Dennis), Joy Kestner (Karl), Tim (Will) and Dana "Dean"; his grandchildren, Jaime Gennaro (Ritchie), Nicole (Cody), Tim Kestner (Mandy), Nathan (Maggie) of Joshua, Tom Kestner, Hannah Anderson (Aaron), Jacob (Alyssa), Connie Jellison and Deb Williams; his great grandchildren, Emily, Bailey and Jocelyn; his stepgrandchildren, Ephraim, Hosanna and Shiloh; and his nephew Reverend David Henderson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home (300 W 3rd Ave, Derry, PA 15627). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM.
