He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl R. Jacobs and Jean S. Jacobs Clever (Kuster); his wife Joy Ruth Jacobs (Neidig); and his siblings, Jeanne Lynn Jacobs, Donna J. Lynn, Jeffrey A. Jacobs, Gerald E. Jacobs and Michael L. Jacobs.

He is survived by: his sons, Robert E. Jacobs (Gina) of Bluffton, S. C., Eric S. Jacobs (Jennifer) of Dillsburg and David C. Jacobs (Heidi) of Dillsburg; and his brothers, John H. Jacobs, Richard S. Jacobs and James D. Jacobs. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Daybreak Church (321 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Through donations to the ministry, the camp provided summer experiences for thousands of underprivileged children over many decades.
