He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pyles and Dorothy V. Pyles (Negley) of Patrick's Day; his brother John Pyles, Jr.; and his daughter Evangeline "Angie" Pyles. He is survived by: his children, Robert E. Pyles, Donald E. Pyles, Jr., Michael P. Pyles (Amber) and Heather E. Petit; his siblings, Iras "Ronnie" Pyles and Dorothy A. Pyles; and his sister-in-law Susan J. Pyles.
