It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Franklin Pierce of Dilltown, Pennsylvania, born in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Franklin and Elsie Pierce (Shirley); his wife Betty Pierce (DeForno); and his daughter Christine Pierce. He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Pierce (Rosslyn) of Penn Run, PA; his brother Everett "Butch" Pierce (Carol) of Mississippi; his grandchildren, Jeremy Pierce (Shannon) of Vintondale, PA, Aleah Pierce (Joseph Tokash) of Cresson, PA and Miranda Lute (Cody); and his great grandchild Theo Lute of Blairsville. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Edgar's name may be made to American Heart Association or a veteran charity of one's choice.
