The passing of Muriel Parmelee of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 23, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert A; her parents, John A Anderson and Catherine Anderson (Sullivan); her son John W Parmelee; and her brothers, Rev. Arthur T Anderson and Thomas Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, MaryAnn Schwork (Thomas), Patrick Parmelee (Sue), Michael Parmelee (Debbie), Kathleen Falk (Andrew), Maureen Smith (Quinn), Kevin Parmelee (Ava) and David Parmelee (Aimee); and her sister Sister Margaret Sullivan. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home (582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Genevieve's RC Church (200 Monmouth Rd, Elizabeth, NJ 07208). A burial was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (220 Mt Olivet Ave, Newark, NJ 07114).
