He was predeceased by: his father Richard (Morris J. Nickels); and his grandparents, Robert, Bettie East, Beulah Allen and Morris W. Nickels.
He is survived by: his mother Patricia Hurst; his siblings, Tonya Huffer (Richard), Niki Jackson, David Nickels, Jenny Moore Holt (Scott) and Crystal Hurst; his nieces and nephews, Kyle Vandervort, R. J. Huffer, Kiersten Dornan (Andrew), Lily, Mattie Huffer, Kayla Vandervort, Rose, Katelynn Boling (Sam) and Megan Morris; his uncle Mickey East (Tina); and his aunts, Madelyne McDaniel, Elenor Geary and Rosie Nickels. He is also survived by his eight great-nieces and nephews.
