She is survived by: her son Lawrence "Skid" Shaffer, Jr. (Cindy); her granddaughters, Katie Carlisle (Wesley) and Natalie Zeitouni (Daniel); and her siblings, Sylvia Elsbury (Donald) and John Balcerek (Marlene). She is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
