She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sr. Jericho and Alice Jericho (Fulton); her husband Lawrence "Bud" Hefner; her son Gerald Szakal; her son-in-law David Ludwick; and her siblings, Dorothy Gaydos, Jean Bitsko, Ruth Koget, Charles Jericho Jr., Harry Jericho and Clyde Jericho.
She is survived by: her children, Gilbert Szakal (Chris) of Florida, Susan Hanna (Bob) of Carroll Township, Charles Szakal (Dolores) of Donora, Donna Ludwick of Donora, Barbara Jo Szakal of Donora and John Szakal (Cheryl) of Belle Vernon; her sister Barbara Ferguson of Donora; and her sisters-in-law, Gail Jericho and Edith Jericho. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
