He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesco Scabilloni and Domenica Scabilloni (Coradetti); and his siblings, Samuel, Jean Furrick and Pete Trasetti.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, James Scabilloni Jr., Mary Ann Smith (Mike), Susan Dillon (John), John Scabilloni (Pamela) and Lisa Kovach (Jim); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian), Joshua (Heather), Christopher, Zachary, William, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Matthew; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Abby, Lucy and Ryker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes (222 Washington Rd, South Hills, PA 15216). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) (311 Washington Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15216). The military honors was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (2900 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317).
