In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Lauber, (Eaton) and Lewis Robert Lauber, Sr.; and his siblings, Jean Rudy and Lewis Lauber, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Lavon M. Smith; his son Stephen J. (Gina Lauber) of New Cumberland; and his grandchildren, Averie and Ayla Lauber.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (2740 Roosevelt Ave, York, PA 17408). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
