It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger L. Murphy of Dover, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Roger farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Roger is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helen M. Murphy (Cepuch); and his parents, Leo Murphy and Esther Murphy (Krug). He is survived by: his children, Kevin Murphy of York, Karen Howat (William), Kathy Riley (Thomas) and Kristin Miller (Greg) of York; and his siblings, Francis Murphy (Loretta) and Bernadette Oatman (Robert). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and six great grandsons, and they all loved Pap.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (950 W Market St, York, PA 17401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
