He was predeceased by: his parents, Horst Paulig and Amalie Wildenhayn Paulig; and his brother-in-law Steve "Timbo" Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. "Bumpy" Johnson Paulig; and his siblings-in-law, C. Michael Johnson and Carol Ciavatti. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
