He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Spier and Gertrude Spier; and his son Edward Spier. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Spier (Herstine); and his sons, Frank D. (Debra Spier) of Perkiomenville, Thomas R. Spier (Olivia Funghini) of Bethlehem and Mark A. (Nancy Spier) of West Chester. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
