He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Grace S. McBrearty; his children, Edward J. McBrearty IV (Elizabeth), Stephen M. McBrearty (Graciella), Katie T. Harper (William), Noreen G. Sommerkorn (Richard) and Bernadette G. McBrearty; his grandchildren, Kaylee McBrearty, Gabriel McBrearty, Sienna McBrearty, Cassidy Harper and Logan Sommerkorn; his siblings, Daniel McBrearty (Maria), Kathleen McGuire (late Francis), Margaret Mary Farley (Michael), Joseph McBrearty (Beverly) and Patricia George (John); and his parents, Edward J. McBrearty, and Eileen McBrearty, Jr.. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Stretch Funeral Home (236 E Eagle Rd, Havertown, PA 19083). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Bernadette Church (1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026).
