She was predeceased by: her parents, William Adams and Margaret Adams (Corcoran); her husband Edward J. Carney, Jr.; her son Edward J. Carney III (Virginia); and her siblings, Ruth Brickley and William Adams.

She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Sullivan (Jim), Eileen Burgess (Keith), William Carney, Linda Schneider (Mike), Christopher Carney and Julie Sellers (Geoff); her grandchildren, Lindsay Burgess (Adam) and James Sullivan; and her great grandchildren, Kennedy Marasco, Lainey Marasco, James Sullivan (Jay), Julian Cottman, Gemma Burgess, Kora Burgess, Skylar Sullivan and Luca Marasco. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, a cousin.
