He was predeceased by : his mother Irene Laukitis (Jenitis); and his sister Debbie Laukitis. He is survived by : his father Ralph Laukitis; his wife Cynthia Laukitis (Krach); his children, Shawn Laukitis (Mary Beth) and Stephaine Trunzo (Mark); his grandchildren, Shelby Laukitis, Bret and Andrew Trunzo; his great grandchild Blair Trunzo; and his siblings, Karen Doane, Kenneth Laukitis (Brenda) and Michael Laukitis (Tammy) of Ruckersville, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Park Conservation Association.
