He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bentley and B. Lorraine Bond Bentley; his wife Karen L. Valentine; and his sister Carol Neely. He is survived by: his daughter Brooke Bentley (Eric Harper) of Bradford; his siblings, Marsha Denning (late Dan) of Bradford, Candace Keels (Ed) of Tampa, FL and James Bentley (Sherry) of Pomona, KS; his granddaughters, Ava Harper of Bradford and Cami Harper of Bradford; his close friend Jane Larson; John Larson of Duke Center. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
