We announce the death of Thomas L. Matthews of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 84. Thomas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Matthews and Marjorie Matthews (Piper); his former wife Kathleen "Kathy" Matthews; and his brother James Matthews. He is survived by: his family Tom; his daughters, Leanne Dengler (Walter) of Duncansville and Amanda Hammel (Dan) of Duncansville; his grandchildren, Nicole Houghton (Eric), Lauren Hawk (Nick), Andrea and Leah Hammel; and his great grandchildren, Everett and Elliott Hawk.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Good Funeral Home Inc. (108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA 16601). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (704 Patrick Ln, Newry, PA 16665).
