She was predeceased by: her parents, Alighieri Cannarsa and Marie Cannarsa (Burya); and her husband Richard W. Barefoot. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Betsy" Barefoot of Alexandria, VA, Cathy Barefoot of Keysville, VA, Amy Barefoot of Richmond, VA, Richard "Rick" (Jennifer) of Duncansville and Michael (Celine) of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew (Pamela), Colin, Nicolas, Quinn, Aidan, Ethan, Evan and Clare; her sister Arline Hughes (Bill) of The Villages, FL; and her sister-in-law Patricia Barefoot of Altoona.
