He is survived by: his wife Arlene Telesco; his children, Joseph Ames, Jr. (Jessica) of Daytona Beach, FL, Elizabeth MacNelley (Robert) of Olyphant and Richard Ames of Dunmore; his grandson Matthew MacNelley; his brothers, Robert Ames (Terri) and Stephen Ames; his father-in-law Eugene Telesco; and his sisters-in-law, Gina Sheehan (Joseph) and Arlene Bahn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home (318 E Drinker St, Dunmore, PA 18512). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (303 Smith St, Dunmore, PA 18512).
