As we bid Maria Mariani farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maria Mariani is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Saints Anthony and Rocco Parish (303 Smith St, Dunmore, PA 18512). Special gratitude goes to her eldest granddaughter, Anna Cancelli, for her tireless and loving care when Maria lived next door, and to her daughter, Luciana, for the devoted care she gave her mother during the COVID-19 years in Peckville.
