It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W. Moon (Duryea, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Moon and Walsh; and his wife Rita Moon (Pezanowski). He is survived by: his children, Christopher Moon of Avoca and Andrea Collins (Brandon) of Avoca; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Kayleigh Collins; his pet Max; his brother Gerald Moon; and his brother-in-law Bruce Chodnicki of Scranton.
