She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard; her siblings, Helen Barnak, Irene DeFiore, Frank, Joseph and Stanley; her son-in-law Mark Gensel; and her grandson Michael Opiela.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Gensel, Dianne McKitish (Steve), Lori Ann Vargo (David), Robert Opiela and Marie Opiela; her grandchildren, Ashley, Lisa, Justin, Jonathan, Kim, Kathleen, Sarah, Nikki and Daniel; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Jessica, Jaxson, Parker and Austin; her sister Charlotte Barnak; and her caregivers, Joe Delia and Jennifer.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc. (255 McAlpine St, Duryea, PA 18642). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (215 Lackawanna Ave, Dupont, PA 18641).
