She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sheerer and Ann Geadrities Sheerer; her husband David; her parents-in-law, Raymond Meckalavage and Victoria Meckalavage; her grandmother Mary Sheerer; and her brother-in-law Robert Szymanski.
She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Meckalavage; her siblings, Lee Ann Sabatini (Tom), Janet Ware (Tom), Dr. James Sheerer (Lisa), Timothy Sheerer (Renee Exter), Maryann Sheerer and Christopher Sheerer (Avoca); her nieces and nephews, Angelina, Abbie, Ryan, Matthew, Tommy and Madison; her great-nephew Cayden; and her sister-in-law Rosanne Meckalavage. She is also survived by several cousins, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home (1442 Wyoming Ave, Forty Fort, PA 18704). Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc. (1442 Wyoming Ave, Forty Fort, PA 18704). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord Parish (127 Stephenson St, Duryea, PA 18642).
Patti was currently employed for more than 20 years as a medical technologist for Tenor Health Foundation at both Moses Taylor Hospital and Regional Hospital, Scranton.
