He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Pakutka and Victoria Pakutka (Murzenski); his grandson Lee Pakutka; and his sisters, Helen Pakutka, Emily Matechak and Leah Serovinski.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Amicone of Old Forge and Joseph Pakutka (Lori) of Scranton; his grandchildren, Michelle, Christopher, Jamie Pakutka, Mark Matisko and Michael Matisko (Kerri); his great grandchildren, Luca Matisko and Chase Pakutka; and his sister Ann Shrader of Duryea. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
