He was predeceased by : his parents, John J. Moriarity and Annabell Moriarity (Clark). He is survived by : his wife Carmella (Garafano); his pet Susie Q; his children, William Moriarity Jr., Michael Moriarity (Diane), Jeannie Moriarity and Beth Nicholson (David); and his brother Charles Moriarity. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
