He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Schott and Emma Schott (Dier). He is survived by: his wife Dawn E. Schott (Wolfe); his children, Jeffrey A. Schott (Donna) of Abbottstown, Stewart G. Schott Pittsburgh and Erika D. Donovan (Christopher) of Hanover; and his sister Lydia Schott of Taneytown, MD.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, a great granddaughter.
