He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Ecker and Helen Ecker (Sabo); his brother Bob Ecker; and his aunt Margaret Dickinson. He is survived by: his children, Sandra L. Ruth (Jeff) of Palmer Township and John Myer of Alpha, NJ; his grandchildren, Kylie and Liam Ruth; his nephew Bobby Ecker (BooBoo); his sibling's children, Jan Ecker of Phillipsburg, NJ and Brian Ecker of Wilson Borough; his cousin Linda Unangst of Tatamy; his close friend Donna Ruth; and also Braydan of Ontario, Canada.
