He is survived by: his parents, Thomas E. Ackerman and Jean P. Ackerman (Butz) of Bangor, PA.; his wife Diane M. Ackerman (Patterson); his siblings, Barbara Steinmetz and Craig Ackerman (Tammy); and his nieces and nephews, Keith Steinmetz, Mark Steinmetz (Stacey), Meagan and Jessica Ackerman.
