He was predeceased by: his parents, Landen Hamilton and Florabell Hamilton (Reeves); his wife Mary Alice Hamilton (Mewbourn); his son Timothy Hamilton; and his siblings, Arther, Walter Hamilton and May Hamilton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Watts (Chris) and Greta Gresham (Roger); his daughter-in-law Hilda Hamilton; his sister Eva; and his stepchildren, Johnnie Byrnes, William Melton (Rebecca) and Joel Melton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
