He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Scanlan and Emma Scanlan (Steilan); and his siblings, Betty, Rita, Bernard, Russell and Edward.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Greg Scanlan (Tina), Jeff Scanlan (Raeann) and Brian Scanlan (Carol); his stepchildren, Christi Romanko (Paul) and William Tremba (Annamarie); and his brother Dr. Raymond Scanlan.
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Nanty Glo (995 2nd St, Nanty-Glo, PA 15943). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
