It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice Francis McClure of Edinboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. McClure and Charlotte A. McClure (Shenefiel); his son Maurice F. McClure Jr.; his grandchildren, Mark Simsick, Jennifer Waters, Greg McClure, Kimberly McAuley, Ashley Haynoski, Ross Bennett, Katie Bennett, Brian McClure, William McClure, Lindsey Cain and Samuel Cain; and his siblings, Helen Gristina and William McClure.
He is survived by: his spouse Jeannemarie Greiner; his children, Sharon McClure Simsick (Jim) of Richmond, VA, Louis W. McClure (Lynn) of Olean, NY and Jeanne M. McClure Cain (Michael) of Edinboro, PA.; and his sister Mary Coutts of Lewiston, NY. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In a final gesture of service, Maurice chose to donate his body to science. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), an organization that supported him faithfully over the years.
