He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Hower and Isabelle Cyphert (Alabaugh); and his siblings, Shirley Corle, Margaret Stiller and Edward Hower.
He is survived by: his stepfather John Cyphert; his wife Barbara Ann "Bobbi" Hower (Liples); his children, Clifford M. Hower (Jill) and Sherri Ann Hower Meitzler; and his grandson Andrew M. Meitzler. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
