He was predeceased by : his parents, Milton Ruth and Dolores Hayford Ruth; his stepmother Olive St. Germain Ruth; his former life partner Mary Margaret Fuller Ruth; and his daughter-in-law Jean Taylor Ruth.
He is survived by : his wife Dianne Ranier Ruth (Dede); his children, David (Carla), William (Sue), Thomas Ruth (Julie), Mary Katherine Mallory (Jack) and Susan Boone (Jim); his stepson Matthew Collier; his grandchildren, Michael, Philip, Justin, William, David, Taylor, Courtney, Meghan and Emily; and his stepgranddaughters, Jennifer and Jacqueline.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory my be made to the American Heart Asso. (http://www.heart.org), the American Kidney Fund (www.kidneyfund org), or the AKC Take the Lead (http://www.takethelead.org) An Engineering scholarship is also being planned in his memory.
