He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Linda R. Boig (Dusch); his sons, Charles W. III (Nichole) and Craig W. Boig "Scooter"; and his grandson Deacon.

“You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I was fortunate enough to have worked with Chuck. He was a great teacher and person. When I would walk around with him at the hospital, I was always impressed with how much he knew about each of the families he took care of. Every parent and child would smile when he came to see them. To this day families still talk fondly of him. He treated the kids as his own. He was an amazing person.
