He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin D. Evans, Sr. and Theresa Calabrese Evans; his wife Penelope; his children, Samuel Evans, Jr., Brian Evans, Michele Evans and Amy McAllister (David); and his siblings, Joseph Evans, Chauncey Evans, Melvina Ayant, Hazel Evans and Ida Fishback.
