He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Laura Schafer; his sons, Bill Schafer (Amy) and Gary Schafer (Jennifer); his siblings, Phil Schafer (Sarah), Cheryle Walton (Tom), Tom Schafer (Temmy) and Terri Schmidt (Barry Ford); and his sons, Miles Schafer (Bill), Cole and Ethan Schafer (Gary). He was also cherished by family having many brothers and sister, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
